This summer I went to Australia for a visit. I spent about 23 hours flying to Sydney, my first stop in Australia. The flight went quite fast as I watched several films on it.

The country is really beautiful. I learned lots of facts about koalas. Do you know they can sleep for up to 20 hours a day to save energy? That's a very long time. There was also a snake show but I didn't get close because I'm afraid of snakes. On the last day of my visit, I went to the Great Barrier Reef. The water was quite clear and blue. I also got the chance to see many sea animals. I enjoyed myself very much there.

The Sydney Opera House is a symbol of Australia. It is very important because of its place in the country's history of architectural design. The opera house was designed by Jørn Utzon and cost more than 100 million. Since the opening on 20th October,1973, it has been famous all over the world. The first public performance was War and Peace. The opera house has five theatres and two main halls, showing musicals, ballets, operas and other performances. It also has a number of restaurants that all provide delicious food and a small store where you can buy gifts. The ticket can be bought online or at the ticket office.
