   M: Good morning, everyone. Thank you for the opportunity to let me share what I usually do to celebrate the New Year in recent years. For most people, this will probably sound a little bit boring, but I prefer to live a simple yet happy life. Many years ago, when I was much younger, I used to enjoy staying up late with my friends. We would have a party, playing games and eating a lot of food. I don’t remember exactly, but I’m sure we didn’t eat a nice tasty salad or order Chinese takeaways. Rather, we probably just ate unhealthy food, like pizza, burgers and drank a lot of soda. Now, as I’m getting older, things have changed. I feel that every day is a new day. And we don’t have to wait until the new year to change our lives. Each day gives us a new opportunity to be better. As a result, I don’t do anything special on New Year’s Eve. Generally, I stay at home, reading for a while that evening. Sometimes, I would look through the window, watching the kids playing fireworks at the roadside. I’m no longer a late-night person. I would rather get in the bed around ten, watch a movie and fall asleep before it’s over. I just enjoy the simple thing of life. Happy New Year.
