M: Oh yeah, he’s the philosopher who wrote about where our ideas of beauty come from.

W:Exactly. I suggest you search for some information about him in the library and start from there.

M: Nicholas Sparks is an American storyteller whose books have consistently been turned into major films. Although not all of his books were made into movies, all have been The New York Times best-sellers. He has sold over 105 million copies worldwide, with over 75 million of them within the United States alone. He lives with his family in North Carolina. He is also considered to be very generous with his money. In 2011, he created the Nicholas Sparks Foundation to make more opportunities available to children from poor families. His foundation, which he started with his wife, provides scholarships for children from low-income families in rural communities.Sparks has had a very successful career, and he owes that to education. "The education I received prepared me for the world I would be facing in the future," he said.Even though he is worth an estimated 40 million dollars or so, Sparks seems to live the values he presents in his books.
