M:Now, I've got some information about an exciting opportunity that I'm sure some of you will be interested in. The association of firefighters is organizing a special course to teach girls how to become firefighters. It has been run at the firefighting center from July 17th to July 22nd. There's room for only 14 students. And it's expected that there will be strong competition for places. Last year, they received over 100 applications. This course is only open to female students who are aged between 16 and 18. The organizers are looking for female students who are both hard-working and in good physical condition although there aren't any height requirements. Now you don't have to necessarily be thinking about joining the fire service when you leave school. Everyone will benefit because the skills you will learn will make you more confident. You don't have to pay for the cost of the course but you will have to cover the cost of your travel expenses. I think some of you need to get in touch with Elaine Jones at Center Fire Station.
