Grande is a city with 150,000 people. Copen is near it. People from Copen move to Grande to find jobs, and they need places to live in. However, it is expensive to live in the city centre, so the government builds flats outside the centre. Soon Grande becomes very crowded. What's more, the small local school in Copen closed down six years ago, so children who live in Copen have to go to school in Grande. It takes them an hour to get there by bus. It is clear that Grande needs more schools and buses. It also needs fresh air.

Good morning, everyone. Today I want to introduce a small country to you: Mauritius. Mauritius is an island country in the east of Africa.It covers an area of 2,040 square kilometres with a population of about 1.2 million. People in Mauritius speak English, French and Hindi, but the government uses English as its working language. In the country, there are only two seasons in a year: summer and winter. It is hot with much rain in summer and cool and dry in winter.

Mauritius is one of the richest and most beautiful countries in Africa.The best time to visit it is from July to October. Every year hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world rush to visit it.
