Steven is always taking good care of his father. One day, after his father got well from a health problem, he took his father to go out for a walk, and then to a restaurant for an evening dinner.

His father is very old and weak. While eating, the old man dropped food everywhere — on the table, on the floor, on his shirt and trousers. Seeing the mess, other people in the restaurant felt uncomfortable and watched the old man with dislike on their faces. But Steven was calm.

After his father finished eating, Steven quietly took him to the washroom, washed his hands, took the food marks off the clothes, fixed his hair and fitted glasses gently. When they came out, all the people in the restaurant were watching them in silence. Steven paid the bill and started walking out with his father. 

Seeing what Steven did, the owner of the restaurant was deeply moved. He called out to Steven and asked him, “Don't you think you have left something behind?”

Steven checked carefully and then replied, “No, sir, I haven't.”

The owner disagreed, “Yes, you have! You left a lesson for every son and hope for every father there. To love those who always love us is one of the highest honors.”

The restaurant went silent again.

四、听力填空

Dear students,

Following Safety Education Day, it's our safety education time this week. Here I'd like to take the chance to tell you some safety rules. 

Firstly, you should pay attention to traffic safety. On the way to and from school, follow the traffic rules strictly. If you walk, you should walk on zebra crossings when crossing the roads. If you ride, remember you can't ride electric bicycles on the roads if you are under 16 years old. If you take the bus, never put your heads or hands out of the window. 

Secondly, school safety is of the same importance. You mustn't bring dangerous toys, knives or sticks to school to avoid hurting others. During break time, you are not allowed to run or play in the classroom and in the hallway in order not to knock into the desks or walls. Also, you have to try to be careful when you do all kinds of work in school, such as sweeping the floor, moving the table or cleaning the window.
