M: Metalworking. I help my dad out in his shop already, so it's easy to get an A for me.

W: Good morning, Thomas. We know you are in charge of the organization of Montreal's famous island bicycle tour in June. Can you tell our listeners something about the bicycle tour in June?

M: Sure. The tour is a yearly event which is open to anybody who'd like to ride a bicycle through the streets of Montreal.

W: How long is the tour, Thomas?

M: 65 kilometers. But the route's quite different every year. Even people who've already done it enjoy doing it again.

W: Well, what's the usual pace for participants?

M: Between 12 and 30 kilometers per hour.

W: I know that about 45,000 cyclists participated in last year's tour. How many people do you expect to attend this year?

M: About 5,000 more than last year.

W: Can you give some advice to our cyclists this year?

M: I'd like to remind our listeners to sign up for it as early as possible if you want to take part, because there is a limit to the number of participants. And pack a good lunch with plenty of fruit to provide energy during the rest. Candy and chocolate are not suggested.

 Today I’d like to introduce a library that almost all families love — the Children’s Library. It attracts people with an impressive book collection and beautiful spaces. Children enter the Wild Woods to put on a show in a cut-out tree trunk. STEM-loving inventors visit the Tinker Lab where they create or attend programs. Interactive spaces like the Attic provide kids with more comfortable areas to enjoy a book. The Children’s Library provides free activities for families and children. Every Monday, young children visit the Preschool Zone for interactive stories and activities. The first week of the month is the Dance Zone, an active movement-based occasion for story. The next week is the Building Zone, an open playtime with plenty of building-focused toys. The third week is the Animal Zone with introductions to new animals through activities, books, videos, and songs. The fourth week is the Science Zone which focuses on science themes with exploration stations. You can apply for a library card free of charge. The object that can prove your identity, such as an ID card, is required to get the card. And people under the age of 18 must obtain a parent’s or legal guardian’s permission.
