 Earth Day, which is celebrated on April 22nd every year, is a significant event that promotes global awareness of environmental protection and inspires people to take action for a sustainable future. Earth Day was first organized in 1970 and became an international event on 21 March 1971. A rock band even wrote a song about Earth Day in 1993, encouraging families to recycle on a regular basis.

Every Earth Day has a theme, which we are honored to set. In 2023 it was Invest in Our Planet, encouraging businesses, politicians, and the public to come together to support climate-friendly choices. In 2024, we persuaded millions of people to stand up to plastics’ harmful impact on human health with Planet vs. Plastics. For 2025, our 55th anniversary year, we are focused on supporting the increase of renewable energy with our theme Our Power, Our Planet.

Earth Day can be celebrated in numerous ways, such as organizing a community clean-up, hosting environmental workshops, launching recycling initiatives, and conducting nature walks. Schools often engage students in art competitions with an environmental theme, and businesses may introduce eco-friendly practices.
