M: I hate my laptop. It's too old to run the latest software. I want to have it replaced now.
W: Will you check the new models at the store, Max?
M: No. I'll see them online this weekend. I promise I will make a quick decision and get one.

W: I love the view from your window! You can see the entire city skyline.
M: Yeah, I think it's the best part of living here. It's amazing when all the lights are on, and the whole building is quiet.
W: I can imagine. I wish I could find a place like this!

W: Yes, I read about it in the newspaper. I think it's a good idea, but I wonder how people will react.

M: So, have you thought about what kind of job you want after graduation, May?
W: Yes. My family recommend a management job to me, but I'm more interested in working in marketing. What troubles me is that I'm not sure if I'd prefer a large company or a small one.
M: I understand. I've been a designer in different companies. Large companies offer great resources, while smaller ones give more freedom and responsibility.
W: That's true. I also like the idea of a creative job.
M: Well, working in a large company can sometimes be structured and require cooperation from many departments, but working in a small start-up might give you that creative freedom. I think you'd choose the latter.
W: Thank you, Simon. That's what I'm going to do.

M: I've been feeling really tired and sleepy lately and even sick occasionally. Do you have any advice on how to improve my energy levels, Hellen? You always seem energetic.
W: Well, Jeff, one thing that can really help is improving your diet. Eating apples, carrots and things like that can give you more energy.
M: That makes sense. You know my parents have gone on business. I've eaten a lot of burgers, fries, and pizza lately, and I feel like they are starting to affect my health.
W: That's definitely not a good choice. Try replacing them as soon as possible.
M: I'll try that. How about exercise? Does it help with my health?
W: Absolutely! Regular exercise like swimming and cycling does a lot of good. Even something as simple as a 20 minute slow run each day can make a huge difference, which I personally advise you to try. We can work out together if you'd like.
M: That would be great!

W: Are you planning a trip to Europe this summer, Eric? Where are you going?
M: Yes, I'm really excited, Sophia! I plan to visit Rome first, and then I'll head for Paris and finish with Barcelona. Madrid was once on the list, but my mother didn't want me to go there.
W: Wow, that sounds like a great trip! How long will you stay in each city?
M: I'll be in Rome for three days, then four days in Paris, and then two days in Barcelona. I've always wanted to visit these places, especially Paris for the art and museums.
W: That sounds like a perfect plan. Are you planning to book a guided tour, or explore the cities on your own?
M: I'm going to explore on my own slowly. What do you think about that, Sophia?
W: It's OK for the most part, but it will be more enjoyable with a guide in Rome since there's so much history and buildings to learn about.
M: OK. I'll consider it.

M: Have you read that new book, The Valley? I just finished it last night.
W: Oh, I haven't read it yet. What's it about, Bruce?
M: It's a great novel by a young writer, set in a small town with lots of secrets. It tells a story about a young man trying to solve the strange disappearance of a journalist. As he digs deep into the case, he gets support from a police officer, and finally uncovers truths about the town and its residents.
W: That sounds fantastic! How's the writing style?
M: It's very engaging. The tension builds up with every chapter, and the turning points are unexpected and really well done. It's one of those books that are hard to put down once you start.
W: I'll definitely check it out. How does it compare to the movie adaptation?
M: The movie is just okay, and I think the book is way better. The movie couldn't really show the depth of the characters' emotions. The book goes much deeper into the main characters' thoughts and motivations, and the small details really add to the overall atmosphere.

Good morning all educators, and welcome to the International Education Conference. Today's schedule is packed with insightful sessions and discussions. We'll start with an opening speech at 9 a.m. by Professor Jane Peterson, who will explore the future of online education, with a special focus on the problems and barriers it presents for developing countries. After that, we'll have a series of workshops. From 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., Dr. Michael Lee will lead a session on integrating technology into the classroom. This session will mainly discuss practical strategies for teachers to use digital tools to enhance learning experiences and promote student engagement. We'll have a break at 12 p.m., when you can network with fellow attendees and watch a panel discussion, featuring experts in education policy from different regions. After lunch at 2:30 p.m., we'll have a session on cultural exchanges in educational settings, led by Dr. Robert Smith. The final session will be from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., where Dr. Sarah Harris will present her research on how technology can help encourage better communication. The whole conference will end with a Q and A part, which lasts for half an hour, following Dr. Harris's speech.
