M: That phone ringing all the time is driving me mad! There must be something wrong.

W: Let me check it. Believe me. Okay, it's fixed. Here you are.

M: Great! You're such an expert!

W: Would you care to take the box upstairs?

M: Of course. But when I was playing basketball last week, I injured my leg and it hurts now.

M: How is your stomach this morning?

W: Much better. Thanks.

M: But you should stay in bed for another day or two, and you shouldn't eat too much.

W: But, doctor, I haven't eaten anything for two days.

W: Steve, come quickly! There is something I want to show you.

M: But I can't leave now. I'm in the middle of an exciting part of the movie. Can it wait a bit longer?

W: No! Hurry up! It's so special and you won't want to miss it! 

M: OK, I'm coming. What's the big deal?

W: Just look at that tree! See how beautiful it looks, all covered in snow. Hurry up and get the camera! The snow might fall off soon, and this moment will be lost.

M: You made me run down the stairs in a hurry to show me this tree? I'm going back to watch my movie.

M: Miss, you are wet! It's pouring outside. This morning, it was still sunny. I didn't expect such a change in weather! 

W: Yeah, but luckily there's no wind to make it worse. I had to run here from work! I need to rush as I'm on my lunch break.

M: Why don't you go ahead of me in line? I'm in no hurry. 

W: That's nice of you! Thanks. 

M: My pleasure. Actually, could you recommend what to eat here? I've never been here before.

W: Sure. The pancake is delicious, which many people like. Personally, I think the beef salad is the tastiest one. Also, the milk shakes are good! 

M: I think I'll try the beef salad. Thanks.

W: Don't mention it.

M: Good morning, Sophia. How is your new house?

W: Good morning, Frank. It's pretty great. There are two big bedrooms, two smaller ones, and a large living room. It is a smart home, based on a modern design. 

M: I watch videos about smart homes all the time and they're really convenient. But I haven't experienced one. What's it like to live in a smart home? 

W: It's amazing how you can control almost everything easily.

M: Great! So, can you change the temperature of the air conditioner in your house here?

W: Of course. I've also got smart lights that I can control with my voice or smartphone. I fixed a smart doorbell and cameras. I can see who's at the door even when I'm not home.

M: That's very wonderful! When can I visit your house?

W: Come for lunch tomorrow. Don't forget to bring Lucy along with you. 

M: Okay, see you tomorrow.

W: I'm thinking about getting a pet. Can you give me some advice?

M: How much time can you spend looking after your pet?

W: I'm really busy, so I can't feed a dog. I don't have time to walk it every day. 

M: You are right.

W: Actually, I don't want a pet with long hair, like a cat. I don't want a pet that could be dangerous, either, like a spider or a snake. 

M: How about ants? They are easy to look after. Come here and have a look. You only need to put the ants into a glass box. The box is filled with special soil, so you don't need to feed them. The most interesting part is that you can watch the ants digging roads in the soil.

W: It sounds good. Do you sell both the ants and the box? 

M: Yes.

W: How many ants should I get at least? 

M: Eight at least. They can live three to six months.

W: Thanks a lot. I will find out more online and come here next week. 

M: That's fine.

M: Hello, everyone. I'm reporting live from Bradley Beach. The surfing competition this July has just come to an end.The competition went well, because of both the weather and the support of the community. I was able to interview a few of the surfers of the competition and they were happy to talk to me. Kenneth, winner of last year's competition, said he was proud of his work this year even though he only got third place. The competition's winner, Ryan, came all the way from America to compete. Ryan only spoke about how close the competition was. He thanked his friend and the second-place winner, Jamie, for giving him a good challenge. All three surfers will return to compete for the national competition in June next year, and then again in December. If anyone is still interested in meeting these talented people, you should hurry down to Bradley Beach where they'll be meeting fans this evening.
