B2 Daniel is listening to a news report about plastic pollution and efforts from different countries to fight it. Write a T if a sentence is true or an F if it is false. Then correct the false one(s).

Scientists say that there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean by 2050 unless something is done to stop plastic pollution. To fight it, lots of countries are taking action.

Canada has made laws to stop the use of tiny plastic pieces in personal care products. These tiny pieces can enter the water and harm sea life.

New Zealand has also made laws to stop single-use plastic products. Shopping malls and supermarkets are not allowed to provide or sell single-use plastic things, like food bags, knives and forks. They will be heavily fined if they do.

In Germany, people have to pay a little bit more when they buy a plastic bottle. If they bring the bottle back to be recycled, they get the money back.

Plastic pollution is a serious problem around the world now. Every country needs to join the fight and help fix it. The world is a beautiful place, and together we can keep it that way.
