W:I went fishing last week but only caught one small fish.

M: Yeah，last week was bad. I only caught two. But today, I got five big ones.

 

W: I want to pay you for that long distance call I made.

M: But I haven't received the bill yet.

 

M: Was Walt Disney the man who set up the first Disneyland?

M: Alice Walker earns her living by writing. She has won many prizes for her poems, short stories and novels. She was born in Eatonton, Georgia. She went to public schools there, and then to college in Atlanta before coming to New York to attend another college, from which she graduated in 1965. For a time she lived in Jackson, Mississippi, with her lawyer husband and little daughter. Once she met with Langston Hughes, a great American poet. She was twenty one years old that year.Hughes was kind and gave Alice Walker a lot of books. His kind help gave her lots of courage and she was very thankful to him. So far, Alice Walker has written a number of books and become famous.
