W: Andy, how did you get into nature photography?

M: A few years ago, I was sent to Brazil by the newspaper I worked for to write an article about the Amazon    rainforest. I felt that photos of the wildlife rather than words would create a stronger impression on people, so I trained as a nature photographer.

W: Is taking pictures in the rainforest scary?

M: Yeah. You know there are lots of dangerous animals in the rainforest! But I'm safe because I just need to stand on top of a 30-meter tower. The most frightening occasion is sitting on this platform to photograph flashes of lightning!

W: Finally, what would you say to someone working in wildlife photography?

M: Magazines are always looking for images. They can write to editors to see what sort of images are needed. If they are good with words, they can also send in articles with their photos. 

M: I won't be affected by that.

W: But I will. Unlike the library, the coffee shop can make me relax because I like coffee best. The favorite thing really helps when one has much to do.

M: That's just why I prefer the library because there are so many books.

W: Well, that's special.

M: I have an idea. Next time we have an exam, I'll try studying at the coffee shop while you in the library. Then we may know which place is better. 

W: Good idea. As long as I can take a cup of coffee with me!

There are many special days in a year, and the United Nations has selected May 20 as World Bee Day for worldwide recognition of the importance of bees. You may be curious to know why.

There are many kinds of bees around the world, but a lot of those bees are in decline. Climate change, harmful chemicals used in agriculture and the loss of living space are putting many of those species at risk. People should take measures to deal with this situation because bees really benefit us in many aspects, like food and physical well-being. They're also important for our culture, dating back thousands of years in terms of offering inspiration for art. They even provide inspiration for Erika Thompson, a professional beekeeper in Texas, to share her work online. Her fans watch her videos with delight where she picks up piles of bees with her bare hands and then moves them to somewhere else. Thompson's purpose is more than just to get millions of views per video. She notes that bees are a key factor in creating diverse and healthy ecosystems and people should know it's time to make sure bees are no longer harmed.
