M: Please help me find my key to the locker, Judy. I don't have my glasses with me.
W: It's so dark here. Why don't you turn on the flashlight of your phone?
Text 2
W: What bad weather!
M: Don't worry. The rain won't last long. The radio says it'll be fine and the temperature will rise to 30 degrees later on.
Text 3
W: Glad you could join us.
M: Me too.Oh, do I have to carry the drinks?
W: No. I'll put them and the food in this basket. You can just carry the blanket.
Text 4
M: I'm sorry, but I won't be on time, Alice. I have to give a key to my mom.
W: Never mind. We will wait for you at the bus station.

M: Lisa, I just saw you in the coffee shop!
W: Yes, I feel extremely tired. I've dealt with the market plan for five hours. I can't even relax for one second.
M: Me, too. But tomorrow is the weekend. It makes me excited!

M: The meeting came to an end at last. So, Mary, what would you like to have for lunch?
W: I'd like to go to the Seafood Palace. It's next to the shopping mall.
M: Well, you'll have some nice ocean views, but we don't have much time. The movie will begin in forty minutes.
W: Oh, you're right. So what about Jim's Cafe?
M: Er, it's also a little far. I think Rose Restaurant is perfect for today, and the steak there is wonderful.
W: Sounds great. I'm definitely going to have one!

M: Hello, Robert speaking.
W: Hi, it's Emma. I am glad you are there. It's about our appointment on Wednesday morning. I am afraid I can't make it now.
M: Oh, that's a shame.
W: I am sorry. There was a change in my business partner's plan and Wednesday is the only day she is able to see me.
M: That's OK, but we need to arrange another date.
W: I could manage sometime on Thursday.
M: Sorry, I've got an important meeting all day. What about Friday?
W: I'll go to an exhibition in the morning, but I could come to your office after that.
M: Great, see you then.Bye.

W: So what brings you to Africa?
M: I'm going to a conference: the Ninth International Conference for English Teachers. It's at Benha University. Well, can you tell me how to get there?
W: The university? It's a bit far, about 30 minutes' walk. It only takes 8 or 10 minutes by bus. The bus leaves right outside the hotel.
M: Can I go there by taxi?
W: Yes. And we can call a taxi for you from our hotel. By the way, are you an English teacher?
M: No, I'm not. I mean I was, but now I am working for a publishing company.
W: What books are you selling?
M: Actually, I'm not selling books. I'm selling educational CDs.
W: Do you have one of your CDs that you could show me?
M: I'll have to see if I have any left over after I give them to my customers.
Text 9
M: Excuse me. Have you seen an old woman come into your store in the last hour?
W: We've had several customers. What does she look like?
M: She's my grandmother. She's about 5 feet tall. She wears a green jacket and blue jeans.
W: Yes, I think she was in here. She was looking at the T-shirts. She said she wanted a red one as a present.
M: She wasn't supposed to leave the house, but I had to go to work this morning because a colleague needed my help.
W: She bought a hat, so she might be wearing it. It is a blue one.
M: Did she say where she was going?
W: No, she just said that she was hungry. There is a small restaurant down the stairs. Maybe you can try there.
M: That is very helpful, thank you. If you see her, could you give me a call? Here's my number.
W: Certainly. I'll let the security staff of the shopping center know as well. I hope you can find her soon.

W: Hello, everyone. I'm glad to be here to share my opinion about English studying. I'm in my first year in university. Many of you said that listening in English is difficult. Well, it is true for me as well. I remember when learning English, I could understand what my teacher was talking to me but actually I couldn't understand some of the news reporters. But now my listening has improved a lot. Here are some ideas that may help you improve your listening in English.
First of all, don't worry if you don't understand every word you hear. That's impossible! You should concentrate only on the most important words.
Secondly, try to get extra listening practice outside the classroom. For example, you can go to the student center and practice listening with their CDs. You should also listen to the radio in English and watch English movies.
Next, it's a good idea to listen to presentations from the Internet. And it's easy to download presentations to your computer.
Finally, it's a good idea to listen to pop songs while you read the words at the same time. There are lots of Internet sites that give you the words of popular songs. That's all from me and I hope this will help.
