M: The style is good. They have a nice shape.

W: No,I think the size is okay, and that the price is actually okay, too.
M: Are blue glasses useful? I mean, will they go with their other things?
W: Now that you say it, I don't think blue is a good idea.
M: Yeah, let's look for something similar in another color.

W: I still don't know what to do — renting with friends sounds fun, but moving in with my cousin feels more stable.
M: Do you want more independence or comfort?
W: That's the problem. I want both, but in different ways.
M: I understand! Being with friends could be more relaxing. What about costs?
W: My cousin's flat is £750 a month.Sharing a house with three friends is £420 each.
M: Don't forget you'll have bills too.Let's guess that bills will be about £140 each in the house share. How much is that altogether?
W: Gosh, I can't work it out! I thought the flat was cheaper... But the house is in a nicer area.
M: You just need to figure out where you'd feel happiest and what you can afford.
W: I know. I don't want to regret it either way.

W:Hi!I've been using the dictionaries to look up some words for my art history class. What about you?
M: I have two papers to finish at the end of this term, so I'm trying to start early by collecting some materials.
W:But it's only the first week of the term. You really like to plan ahead. I'm a bit tired now. Would you like to go and get some coffee with me?
M: Sure. Let me pack up my things. Oh, where are my note cards? I thought I put them in my bag.
W: You lost your note cards?
M: I'm not sure, but I can't find them now.
W: Now, think about where you've been in the library since you arrived.
M: I first went to the reading room. Then I was in the study hall... I was sitting at a desk and looking at my note cards. Oh...Let me go and check the study hall. When I come back, we can go to the coffee shop.
W: Sounds good.

M: Hello, everyone. Welcome back to Story Time, and this week we're going to talk about Margaret Fuller. Margaret Fuller was born in 1810 in America. At first she received education at home. Margaret was an excellent student. In fact, by the age of six, she was able to translate Latin poetry into English. At the age of 9, she went to school. And eventually, she became a teacher. So, why did she become so well-known? Well, she had very strong opinions about the role of women and particularly about what jobs they could do. Margaret believed that a woman could do any job that a man could do. Later, she became a journalist. She worked for the New York Tribune and became its first female editor. She also wrote reviews for it, as she was famous for having strong opinions about literature. Some of the reviews she wrote were very sharp. As a result, she was not always popular with novelists and poets of her time. Besides, she was interested in many different topics. For example, she wanted to change people's attitudes to Native Americans and African Americans. She certainly tried to make the world a better place. This is Tom, on 685 FM, saying good night.
