Thompson was born in Scotland.He grew up with a brown dog named Ned.Thompson loved Ned so much that he dreamed of being an animal doctor.When he was 21 years old, he finished school.Later, he found a job looking after animals in the countryside.Thompson enjoyed the beautiful countryside, but treating large animals was very hard work.Soon, he found out that sick dogs there were never treated.He started treating dogs.The owners of the dogs were thankful for his kindness.Later in his life, Thompson wrote many books about his experiences.He became a world-famous animal doctor.
