W: What are you doing, Alan?

M: I'm writing a report about the weather in my hometown.

W: Okay. Can you tell me something about it?

M: Sure. It's hot in summer and cold in winter. If you want to visit, you'd better go in autumn.

W: Why can't we go there in spring?

M: Because it may get too much rain. By the way, what's the weather like in your hometown, Amy?

W: Oh. It is much different from that in your hometown. The weather is fine all year round. And it is neither too cold nor too hot.

M: That sounds great. I hope I can visit your hometown someday.

W: Welcome. I'll be glad to be your guide then. We have lots of beautiful beaches, parks and delicious local food. You'll certainly love it!

M: Thanks, Amy. I'm really looking forward to it.

M: That sounds serious.

W: Yes. The doctor said two teeth needed filling and that one had to be taken out.

M: Poor Tim. I heard he loves eating sweets and ice creams.

W: Exactly, and the doctor told him that he should start eating more vegetables.

听下面一段独白,回答22至25四个小题。

Text 16

When I was a teenager, I loved to go to the zoo. On a pretty day, my father and I went to buy tickets for the zoo. One family with four children was standing in front of us. Their clothes were not dirty but they were clearly old. They were excitedly talking about their favorite animals. When the ticket seller told them the price, the man's wife let go of his hand and shook her head. There was no longer a smile on the man's face. The man didn't have enough money. Seeing what was happening, my dad took a bill out of his wallet and dropped it on the ground. Then he called the man back, picked up the bill and said, “Excuse me, sir, this fell out of your pocket.” The man knew what was going on. He looked into my dad's eyes, held my dad's hand in his and took the $20 bill. With tears in his eyes, he replied, “Thank you, sir. This really means a lot to me and my family.” We felt good about lending a hand.
